A 5.1 System With AMT Tweeters at Every Channel
The EVO 5 Series builds on the multi-award-winning EVO 4 with new design touches and technical refinements, and this package brings it to home cinema. It comprises a pair of EVO 5.3 floorstanding speakers, a pair of EVO 5.1 bookshelf speakers, an EVO 5.C centre speaker and an SW-10 subwoofer, with a saving of £100 compared with buying them separately.
The heart of the series is its AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter, whose pleated diaphragm moves four times more air than a dome tweeter of the same surface area, with lower distortion and faster transients. New Silentweave damping behind the diaphragm, ResoFrame elastomer damping on all drive units and Resoseal treatment on the cones refine the sound further. Larger cabinets, a hybrid metal and wood plinth and a new three-directional Slot Loaded Profiled Port, up from two directions on the EVO 4, deliver tight, well-defined bass.
