Cyrus have been designing and building phono preamplifiers in the UK for a long time, so when they call the 40 PPA their best yet, they say it with confidence. As with every 40 Series product, the design and signal flow have been re-imagined from start to finish, with sensitive signals carefully shielded from interference. Every input suits either a Moving Magnet or Moving Coil cartridge, and you can connect up to four turntables, arms or cartridges and switch between them easily. For each Moving Coil input, gain (in 5dB steps), resistance and capacitance can be set independently.
