XR Series Performance in Classic Clothing
The Cyrus Classic POWER is the latest power amplifier within the familiar Classic range, created by applying everything Cyrus learnt when developing the XR Series while retaining the well-loved Classic design. The circuit topology has been completely redesigned and the majority of internal components upgraded, resulting in sound improvements that will keep the Classic series loyal fan base growing for years to come. The wideband power amplifier responds from DC to beyond 50kHz, ensuring ruler flat frequency response and keeping undesirable phase shifts out of the audio band. An over-specified 408VA toroidal power transformer drives a high capacity power supply, and the PSX-R2 port allows the voltage amplifier stage to benefit from an even more stable, low-noise power supply when the optional external PSU is added.
